       UPDATE 5/5/2011
Blake is finally home!!
After all the generosity we have already received, we want to thank you..  With Blake being out of work probably until Spring of 2012, he couldn't do it without you! We are also in the process of helping others in need with any excess funds we receive. We have just sent a care package to Alabama to help out from the devastating tornadoes.
Anyone wishing to donate just $5.00 it would be greatly appreciated.. And If you could please pass it around to family & friends, that would be great too!

Thank you to all of the generous people who came through for us!

WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO YOU!!!!

We will keep this effort going to help pay Blake's living expenses over the next year if you wish to help with just a $5.00 donation

WHY THIS SITE CAME TO BE...

Interim housing is a necessity for the bone marrow transplant. We need to raise a significant amount of funds to pay for this requirement. He needs to be in a clean, stable and healing conductive environment for the first 30 - 60 days after release. He must also live within a short distance from the transplant center as it is in those first days that GVHD (graft verses host disease) can come out of nowhere and readmission immediately is a necessity.

Blake is in a crucial part of the leukemia recovery  as he is in full remissions. He is now prepared to begin the bone marrow transplant process the first week of December. He will be admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center and will have the transplant thanks to his sister Donna who will be the donor, she is a 9 out of 10 match!

Interim housing, which is a requirement to be accepted into the transplant program is incredibly expensive (over $6000) and a complete necessity. Unfortunately Bergen County in NJ is extremely expensive and although The Ave in Clifton graciously offered Blake a reduced rate but it is still over $3000.00 per month plus tax.

For someone who has been unable to work since the middle of May and will likely not be working for more than a year after transplant the idea of a 6000.00 additional living expense on top of daily survival adds an enormous amount of stress to an incredibly trying time.

As always, our goal as his support system - remove all stress so RECOVERY is his ONLY thought. The truth is this, there is a 50% recovery for this. To BE SURE he is one who lands on the positive side of this percentage he needs EVERY advantage we can give him. Clean, well maintained housing with an company that works closely with the transplant center is the ONLY choice!

Our Goal is to have One Thousand kind & generous people donate just $5 each to help with this unexpected expense.  Since Blake will be out of work at least another year, donations are the only way he will survive financially.

Thank you all for your generosity and please forward this site on to anyone you think may want to help out!!
